Part of a sequence of images taken at 8:15 pm during a total lunar eclipse on August 28, 2008. A lunar eclipse occurs when only the Sun, Earth and Moon are aligned exactly, with the Earth in the middle. This event lasted over 90 minutes, making it the longest and deepest lunar eclipse to be seen in 7 years. (Photo by Jason McCawley)
